The Eden View Club's outing for July will take place on July 17 for a visit to the Kameruka Estate for a 1.5-hour guided tour. Meet at the Fishermen's Club at 9am for a 9.30am departure. MENS GROUP

The combined churches men's bible study is on the 4th Saturday of each month at the Uniting Church Hall at 8am. Light breakfast and discussion about thing that Jesus said and the relevance to our lives today.

UNDER 18S TRIVIA NIGHT

An under 18s trivia night for the Eden Whale Festival will be held at the Eden Fishermen's Recreation Club on Saturday, July 19. $10 entry per team. SES SEEKS RECRUITS

Eden, Bega and Bermagui SES units are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas: rescue, operations, communications, flood boat, storm and water damage, administration and training skills. DISCOVERY CENTRE WORKING GROUP

Discovery Centre Working Group members are busy planning for the display areas within the building and hope to be ready for a grand opening of Stage 1 in early November. They are looking for a number of things to help achieve their goals. Desks and chairs for school students, at least one good quality freezer for researchers' specimens, paint - blue, black and white are the obvious main choices - swathes of fabric, lounge furniture for the resource and study areas, something to use to hang wetsuits on maybe an old clothes rack from a shop display. EDEN LOG CABIN HIRE

The Eden Log Cabin Management Committee would like to let the community know that Eden's historic Log Cabin has been extensively renovated so that it can be hired at reasonable rates for special occasions, such as art exhibitions and craft displays of any kind, family celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries and weddings. Business meetings etc. can also be held there. There is a kitchen and amenities area for catering purposes and new gardens have been established that are being regularly improved and maintained.
