Logan Grant, Blake Mylan and Jack Maher all had a go and great running with Logan having a kick for goal. Kynan Godfrey and Max Beaven both showing great ball skills.
One point loss
31/07/2008 | Eden Ladies Black goalie Lee Harris (pictured) holds her ground from a Merimbula attacker at home on Sunday. The team lost by just one point in their tough battle against Merimbula. The final score was Merimbula four to Eden's three. Eden Ladies White also suffered their first loss in 18 months on Sunday when Bega travelled to Eden and scored three goals to Eden's one.
Skaters called to Sydney
31/07/2008 | Volcom's Wild In The Parks free skateboard series for young skaters is kicking off at Volcom's home, Keirle Park, Manly, NSW on August 2. Last year, Reece Warren was named open champion and will represent Australia and New Zealand in Arizona in October.
Group 16 loses Bulldogs
31/07/2008 | Pambula-Merimbula will hold crisis meetings over the next few months to formulate a strategy to ensure the Bulldogs return for the 2009 Group 16 rugby league competition. The 2008 season has been one the Bulldogs would like to forget after captain/coach walkouts, injury and player unavailability forced the club to pull out of the competition.

Netballers’ great effort
31/07/2008 | The Sapphire Coast Under 14s had a hard task ahead of them playing in division two of the state age netball carnival at Newcastle, however the girls performed admirably and were proud of the outcome. Kathy Cumming, coach, and assistant coach Abby Gorden had prepared the girls well for some pretty tough competition.
24/07/2008 | The Eden Killer Whales Ladies White soccer team continued their undefeated run with a gutsy three to nil win over Mallacoota, south of the border on Sunday to stretch their lead to five points clear at the top of the table. Eden got off to a blistering start attacking the Mallacoota goal from the outset with strikers Danni Condon and Amber Seckold making penetrating runs up front with some quality service from the midfield of Cass Chatfield, Mel Mitchell, Marnie Switzer and Rae King.
Golfers on par for busy winter
24/07/2008 | Anne Schmitzer and Ros Haenig (both 70.25) won the Ann Hamdorf trophy from a field of 18 on Wednesday. Ball winners were Walker, Cameron, Ventry, Davidson, O'Callaghan, Gilmore and special visitor ex-Eden resident, Janet Furnell and her daughter, Corrine. Always a talented golfer, Corrine has now turned professional.
Girls shine at state
24/07/2008 | South Coast Netball At the beginning of the school holidays the Under 12s, Under 13s, Under 14s and Under 15s South Coast Representative netballers travelled north to Newcastle for the NSW State Age Netball Championships. This championship was the largest junior sporting event in the southern hemisphere with 3600 participants, 305 teams from 86 associations.
Back to back championships for Eden's Ivan Slater
24/07/2008 | Eden's Ivan Slater (aged 17) is the 2007/2008 Sapphire Speedway Young Guns Champion and overall club champion for two consecutive years in a row. Slater claimed the title, and the trophies, at the presentation held recently.
Junior Whalers wallop Diggers
24/07/2008 | The Eden Whalers hosted the Merimbula Diggers on Saturday and came out with wins in Reserve Grade and Under 17s. The Under 17s hold fourth position of the SCAFL ladder after beating the Diggers 21-17-137 to 2-0-12.

17/07/2008 | The South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) division three and four netball teams were under strength and did it tough against Belconnen in round five of the ACT State League Netball competition on Sunday, July 6. The SERAS Under 19s division three team played with the minimum of seven players and went down 31 to 19 in a very physical encounter against the undefeated Belconnen.

Karen Clarke (Wyndham) was one of the academy's individual scholarship holders in the Country Energy Program chosen to participate in a learning environment. Her nearest fellow scholar came form Batemans Bay.
Tigers tame mountain men
17/07/2008 | The Eden Tigers took outright leadership of the Group 16 Rugby League Premiership for the first time this season when they defeated the Cooma Stallions at the George Brown Sportsground on Sunday. Although ahead on percentages the Tigers shared the ladder with Cooma until Sunday's match saw Eden win 30 points to six.

17/07/2008 | Pambula Surf Life Saving Club The Pambula Surf Life Saving Club (PSLSC) experienced their own little piece of the World Youth Day (WYD) last week. Fifty Thai pilgrims were hosted in the area for the couple of days prior to the beginning of WYD in Sydney. As part of their sight seeing tour of the area, the pilgrims were invited to visit the PSLSC to experience a little of how the voluntary side of the organisation operates.
