Eden Minor Rugby League
The Eden Tigers Minor Rugby League club traveled to Bega on Saturday for the Group 16 carnival.
This Saturday the Tigers will take on the Bulldogs on our home turf at the George Brown Memorial Ground.
Game start times are as follows: 9.30am: Under 7s White, 9.30am Under 8s, 10.10am Under 7s Red, 10.10am Under 9s, 10.50am Under 8s, 10.50am Under 9s, 11.45am Under 10s, 12.30pm Under 11s, 1.30pm Under 13s, 2.30pm Under 14s, 3.30pm Under 16s.
Eden Tigers Under 7s Red
Game 1: Queanbeyan Blues.
Great tackling by Will Ewin, Semisi Tui-Dow and Jack Maher.
Great attacking runs from Max Beaven and Tamika Millard.
Jeremiah Bamblett the only try scorer.
Game two: Narooma White.
Blake Mylan showed great tackling.
Josh Dykhoff-Darrington filled in well and side-stepped his way up the field.
Max Beaven came within centimeters of a try.
Game three: Bega.
Tigers lost.
The Roosters looked for a square-up from last weeks defeat.
Kendall Mylan played well in both attack and defence.
Logan Grant had strong runs.
Eden Tigers Under 8s
Game one: Belconnen United.
Tigers won 22 to six.
Harrison Baker scored four tries and Kahleb Kebby, "Squeaky" Grewar and "Superboot" Newton kicked great goals.
Game two: Queanbeyan Blues side.
Tigers lost 24 to 12.
Angus McDonald and Kiarna Mitchell were in the thick of things in defence.
Harrison Baker scored a try and converted his own goal.
"Squeaky" Grewar scored nearly on full time with Mereki Eves-Jones converting.
Game three: Bulldogs.
Tigers lost 12 to 10.
Daniel (who filled in) scored a good try and Kiarna Mitchell just missed the goal.
Angus McDonald and Mereki Eves-Jones made great runs with Harrison Baker finishing with one of his trademark tries.
Daniel kicked for goal but just missed.
The Veteran Tiger
Eden Tigers Under 10s
Game one: Belconnen.
Tigers lost 12 to six.
Try scorer was Isaac Walker and conversion by Corey Spink.
Game two: Moruya-Tuross.
Tigers won 34 to nil.
The boys hit the field and ripped it up and spent most of the match attacking.
Try scorers were Corey Spink (two) Hayden Skeers (two), Critter Love (one) and Jack Gray (one).
Conversions by Jack Gray, Isaac Walker, Corey Spink, Critter Love and Patrick Schofield.
Game three: Semi-final against Bega.
The Tigers lost 24 to16.

Eden Tigers Under 13s
Game one: Bega.
Eden won four to nil.
It was nil all at half time and it wasn't until nearly the end of the second half when Dyllan Grant made a brilliant dash up the side line in what has become his trademark play of the season to score the only try of the match.
Game two: Narooma.
Tigers won 12 to six.
Try scorers were Joe Stewart and Tyrone Maher.
Both tries were converted by Aaron Aldridge.
Game two and game three: The Tigers had two wins.
Grand final: Merimbula-Pambula.
Tigers lost 10 to six.
The Bulldogs scored the first try which applied a bit of pressure to the Tigers.
They came out firing in the second half and hit back with a try by Josh Jarvis and a conversion by Aaron Aldridge to level the score.
This had the Dogs a bit rattled and the boys all played hard football.
Unfortunately just before the full time hooter the Dogs got the bounce of the ball from the kick off their way and were in again.
Eden Tigers Under 14s
Game one: Bega
Tigers lost.
Captained by John Schultz, the boys contained the Bega boys well with 3 players and no reserves.
Some great hit ups and try saving tackles were made.
Game two: Merimbula-Pambula.
Tigers won 10 to six.
Justin Morton crashed over the line to score and converted his own try.
The boys were in great form and went into the sheds at half time with a six nil lead.
The Dogs scored a second try after the bounce of the ball from the kick off went their way right on the hooter which sealed the match.
Two Under 13s stepped up to play the day with the Under 14's to give them a full side were Leslie and Torey Potter.
